WendyQuest combat tips
Press Attack as the gauge nears full. Special is the charged command, and Bag holds the Wendy's-menu healing items. Matching a teammate's flavor to the enemy adds damage.

Polygon's interview with Stephane Cotichini describes a bar that fills along the bottom of the battle screen. Hitting Attack close to full raises damage. Hitting too early lowers it or whiffs. That is the timing tip. I do not have a frame count for “close to full,” so I am not going to write one.
Battle screenshots show three commands: Attack, Special, and Bag. Special is the place charged moves live, in the way the menus are drawn. Bag is where healing items sit. A D/REZZED screenshot report lists Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger at 50 HP and a Frozen cure, Dave's Single at 100, Dave's Double at 150, Crispy Fries clearing Soggy, and Baked Potato clearing Soggy. IGN agrees the bacon item restores HP and does not repeat the 50. Those integers stay labeled as one source.
The official pages say each ally's flavor punishes a matching enemy type. Wendy covers Spicy and Fresh Beef, Frygor covers Crispy, Frostyna covers Frosty, Sir Chicken covers Spicy, and Baconator covers Fresh Beef and Bacon. That is the “best party” answer that exists: bring the flavor the enemy is weak to, once you can see the type. No damage formula is published.
Comfort options from the Steam page: save at any time, change the difficulty, use a full controller, or play keyboard-only.
